Register for Dive Team

Registration for the 2024 season begins at 8 a.m. on April 1. Registration will be available online by clicking the button to the right or in person at the City Clerk's office at City Hall during regular business hours. 

The Prairie Village Piranhas Dive Team is open to youth ages 6 to 18.

Coach Ginna Dammann will return as the head coach in 2024.

Dive Team Practice

Practices begin Thursday, May 30. Practice times are daily Monday - Thursday:

Ability Time 

Beginner/Intermediate

Must be willing to try new skills, and do not fear going off a diving board

8 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.

Advanced

Must have at least one dive from each category- or close to all 5 (front dive, back dive, inward dive, twist, and reverse dive,) can do front & back flip, demonstrate proper hurdle approach & back take offs, and should be willing to train off the 3M board.

2024 Dive Team Fees

Resident, second child on dive team  $115
Non-resident without PV Pool Membership  $175
Non-resident with PV Pool Membership

Small group dive team lessons  $60 for five 30-minute lessons 

Team fees, including fees for lessons not taken, are refundable up to one week after practice begins minus a $15 administrative fee. 

Fees include:

  • T-shirt and swim cap
  • Friday Fun Days
  • Personal and group curriculum and assessments
  • Team awards banquet
  • Access to semi-private instruction after practice (additional charge)

Dive Team Swimsuit

The Swim and Dive team members will be required to wear a black one piece swimming suit, of any brand, or the team swimsuit-see link below:

Dive Team Skill Improvement Lessons

Dive lessons are open to any youth participating on the Prairie Village Dive Team. 

  • Small group  format 
  • Skill and technique development
  • Packages of five 30-minute lessons for $60 per person
  • Monday - Friday between 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

IMPORTANT: The day and time your lessons are scheduled must be pre-arranged between you and your team coach.  Download a dive team lesson application [PDF] before approaching your coach for lessons. Lessons must be purchased from the City Clerk's Office.
