The Prairie Village Police Department offers residential and business surveys to all homeowners and business owners in Prairie Village and Mission Hills.

The purpose of a residential/business survey is to assist the resident/business owner in recognizing and identifying potential areas that may pose a security risk. To increase security to a residence/business owner, our Crime Prevention Unit will address the residence’s locks, lighting and overall appearance as it pertains to residential security.

The survey will note areas that may present a security weakness. Our main objective is to attempt to make your residence/business less inviting to a burglar and more resistant to a potential break in. Recommendations for security improvements are in the interest of reducing the opportunity of a burglary.
