Qualifications
- U.S. citizen
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or higher
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must live within a 35-mile radius of the City limits
- There is no Kansas residency requirement
- No felony convictions or its equivalent under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ)
- No convictions for driving while under the influence in the past five years
- No recent illegal drug use
- Visible tattoos allowed while in uniform

Great Benefits
- Police Officer salary range:
$62,000 to $90,000 annually - Retirement (no minimum age):
50% of salary at 20 years of service
62.5% of salary at 25 years of service
75% of salary at 30 years of service - $5,000 hiring bonus

- 5% bonus every three years
