Virtual Public Meeting - Village Vision 2.0

  • Date: 09/09/2020 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

The City has been working on refreshing and updating our Comprehensive Plan – Village Vision 2.0 – for the past 18 months. The original Village Vision was adopted in 2007 and contains recommendations on issues ranging from redevelopment, to land use, to community services and amenities. Many of the goals outlined in the original Village Vision plan have since been accomplished, so the City began a process in 2019 to refresh our Comprehensive Plan in order to make it more relevant to the current and future community challenges and opportunities that face Prairie Village.

A draft of the refreshed Village Vision 2.0 is available at www.pvkansas.com/villagevision2.0. The City will be holding a virtual information session on September 9 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes the following:

  • Introductions
  • Presentation of the current draft of Village Vision 2.0 by Gould Evans
  • Live Q&A via Zoom

Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide input during this virtual community meeting as well as hear more about what the new plan entails. Residents can watch the meeting via Zoom. A live stream of the meeting will also be available on the City’s Facebook page.  The City will accept questions and comments via the Q&A feature on Zoom as well as through the comments section on the Facebook livestream.

If you are unable to attend the virtual meeting, you can still review the draft document and provide comments through this survey.

With resident input, Village Vision 2.0 will be finalized this fall and replace the existing Comprehensive Plan that was adopted in 2007. Village Vision 2.0

Please take a moment to provide feedback on the current draft of Village Vision 2.0. The finalized comprehensive plan will provide important guidance on development and land use decisions for years to come.
