General Maintenance

Adjacent property owners are responsible for maintaining trees along City streets, including removal of hanging or broken branches, water, fertilizing, trimming, and spraying. Right-of-Way trees are City assets and cannot be removed without prior approval from the City.  If your Right-of-Way tree seems to be dead or dying you can complete a Service Request to have the Right-of-Way tree inspected.  The Right-of-Way on residential streets is approximately 10 to 12 foot behind the curb, dependent on the street.  To determine if a tree on your property is in the right-of-way, please contact Public Works at 913-385-4647.
