The City of Prairie Village, in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City and Johnson County Library, is moving into the next phase of a multi-year study of a new Prairie Village Community Center Campus in Harmon Park. This phase of the study includes site analysis and considerations, as well as eliciting community feedback about preferences.

This study creates an opportunity to:

  • Replace the aging Paul Henson Family YMCA with a new facility, operated and programmed by the Y.
  • Consider the existing YMCA parcel, as well as sites close to existing amenities.
  • Partner with Johnson County Library as they consider alternatives for a new Corinth Library location.

What are your priorities for a potential Community Center Campus Study?
Join the project team at an in-person, open house public meeting. Learn more about the study process and share input on potential Community Center Campus amenities that are important to you.
