Join the Prairie Village Tree Board in celebrating Arbor Day as they plant a tree in honor of Deborah Nixon,  at 10 a.m. April 30 in Wassmer Park.  

Deborah Nixon, horticulturalist and Master Gardener, has served Prairie Village and surrounding communities in numerous ways. Deb served on the Prairie Village Tree Board for 20 years, including many years as the Tree Board Chair. She also was a team member in the planning, installation and maintenance of the Johnson Country Master Gardeners demonstration garden at Wassmer Park. Deb has always been passionate about promoting tree preservation and urban reforestation in Prairie Village.
