Calendar Meeting List
VillageFest To Go
- Date: 07/04/2020 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
The Prairie Village VillageFest Committee invites residents to participate in VillageFest To Go from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 4.
In the interest of public health during the COVID-19 pandemic, Prairie Village cannot host its traditional Independence Day event, which draws thousands of people to the municipal campus each year.
VillageFest To Go will be a drive-through event. Residents are invited to decorate their car and parade through the municipal campus, 7700 Mission Road to see emergency vehicles and public works vehicles. Each child over the age of two will receive a bag of goodies, while supplies last. Please remain in your vehicle.
In addition to the drive through portion of the event, several contests will be held on social media, including a sidewalk art contest, a photo contest, and Prairie Village trivia.
Those who would like to participate in the sidewalk art contest are invited to decorate their sidewalk or driveway and email a photo to mbuum@pvkansas.com. (If emailing from your phone: select ‘actual size’ or ‘large,’ and only send one at a time.) Include: artist’s name & age. Please only submit one photo per artist. Deadline: submit your photo by noon July 1 then head to Facebook to vote for your favorite photos before noon July 4!
Follow the City's Facebook page July 4 to participate in a Prairie Village Trivia contest.
Disclaimer: Any photo you submit must be your personal work or that of someone for whom you are an agent, must be in .jpg, .png, or .gif format, may not exceed 10 megabytes in size, must not contain copyrighted material (except as owned by you, the photographer), and must not contain malicious code.
