All cats and dogs, six months of age and older, must be licensed with the City. The licensing process ensures that animals have current rabies vaccinations which must be current in order to obtain an animal license. Each household is permitted to have a maximum of four pets with no more than three of one species (dog or cat). Licenses must be renewed every one, two or three years depending on the license purchased. Rabies vaccinations must be valid for the duration of the license being purchased. If an animal cannot tolerate the rabies vaccination, a letter stating the intolerance must be provided by the vet.

Cherokee Drive will be rehabilitated as part of the 2018 Residential Street Rehabilitation Program with a mill and overlay, new sidewalks, and new curb and gutter where needed. The existing Y intersection is being proposed to be improved to a T intersection with a new area for the island fountain. This new intersection will be safer pedestrians and motorists. Please come to the open house public meeting to discuss this proposed improvement.

This intersection improvement will also provide an opportunity for a new fountain area that can be easily accessed by the residents. Recognizing that this island and its garden are important to the surrounding community, we have two options for the potential configuration. Check out the images here.
