JazzFest

The Prairie Village Jazz Festival returns to Harmon Park Saturday, September 7 for its 13th celebration of the music that shaped Kansas City. Gates to the family-friendly event open at 2 p.m.; admission is $5 — cash or card accepted — and attendees ages 18 and under are free. Free parking, including ADA parking, is available at lots surrounding the park. Several food trucks will be on site, and soda, beer, and wine will be available for purchase.

The lineup for 2024 features an eclectic mix of newcomers and veterans of the local jazz scene. Since 2010, the Prairie Village Jazz Festival has showcased top jazz acts, all with hometown Kansas City connections, in a fun, safe, family-friendly and convenient setting in the heart of Prairie Village. The city’s elected leaders and city government, many local businesses and scores of committed volunteers generously contribute their time, resources and financial support to make the Prairie Village Jazz Festival possible each year. This creative, energetic and culturally enriching event is presented by the City of Prairie Village.
