The Prairie Village Diversity Committee will host a town hall event focusing on early childhood education at 6 p.m. August 18 at Meadowbrook Clubhouse. The discussion will explore the critical need for expanded access to early childhood education and childcare in our community, especially in a post-COVID society.

 

A panel will bring a variety of perspectives and expertise to the conversation. Panelists are: Scott Hall, Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce - Senior Vice President for Civic and Community Initiatives; Larry Lewis, Growing Futures Early Education Center - Executive Director; Dr. Leigh Anne Neal, Shawnee Mission School District - Chief of Early Childhood Education/Sustainability; and Melissa Rooker, Kansas Children’s Cabinet - Executive Director. The panel wil be moderated by Julie Brewer, United Community Services - Executive Director
