Taliaferro Park is named for former Mayor Monroe "Roe" Taliaferro (1989 - 1999). It was previously called Meadowlake Park.
The Taliaferro Park pavilion is available to reserve. It has six tables (four of which are ADA accessible) and two weather resistant duplex electrical outlet receptacles. There are six other picnic tables scattered throughout the park under trees. The park has a large playground, a nature play area, a sandbox, two lighted tennis courts, and one basketball free-throw practice court. The baseball field located on the north side of the park shares its outfield grass with the soccer field. Taliaferro Park has a walking/exercise path around the perimeter and heated restrooms available year-round.
