Two Local Artists Featured at R.G. Endres Gallery in May
Sean Ward and Jackie Keirnan-Hale will be the featured artists at the R.G. Endres Gallery located at the Prairie Village City Hall, 7700 Mission Road, Prairie Village. The exhibit shall run throughout the month of May. The Prairie Village Arts Council will host a reception for the artists on Friday, May 12th, from 6:30-7:30.
Sean Ward’s work draws from his experience and training in graphic arts to produce extraordinary pieces in acrylic painting. Sean found the perfect mixture of his digital techniques along with traditional application and painting to create several interesting and appealing series of pieces. The resulting works are dramatic expressions in vibrant colors and imagery.
Mr. Ward is a successful artist, with 198 sales just in 2016 to clients all over the United States and Japan. He also maintains a contemporary art gallery back in Wichita, Kansas. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Wichita State University.
Jackie Keirnan-Hale is also the featured artist for May. Ms. Keirnan-Hale makes landscape and seascape art out of fabric, beads, ribbon, and embroidery that celebrates the endless possibilities of beauty around all of us. In her words, “I communicate the wonder of an everyday moment in nature so that the viewer can see beauty and calmness.”
Ms. Keirnan-Hale exhibits her work locally and nationally and also enjoys working on commission work. She has several pieces in private collections. She earned her B.F.A. in graphic design from Kansas City Art Institute. She lives in Kansas City, Mo.
